Runaway Princess #9 Zen Voyage

During the Spring Festival, I tried to use markers to evoke the atmosphere of a traditional Chinese landscape painting. A gradation of greyscale, transitioning from the pale green river to the deepening hues of the distant mountains, established a profound sense of depth in the background. A dense mist, tinged with shades of lilac and azure to harmonize with the sky, envelops the horizon, subtly obscuring the Torii gate toward which the wooden boat is drifting, thereby infusing the ethereal beauty of the fairy ambiance. The princess, poised in quiet contemplation, glances back at a delicate blue dragonfly perched upon a lotus bud. To enhance the contrast and draw focus to her presence, the surrounding bushes are rendered with detail, while the lotuses in the front, are deliberately simplified, guiding the attention toward the "little blue sign" that beckons the princess to her next destination.
