GODDESS OF TRUTH

At the outset of my artistic journey, I followed a YouTuber and meticulously replicated her semi-realistic creations to develop my skills. After two years of practice, I revisited one of these pieces and reinterpreted this illustration with my own evolving style, subtly enhancing the perspective of the figure to add greater depth. An interesting aspect in this process was rendering the details of her braids, befitting her portrayal as an Egyptian goddess. By employing a highlight pen to add reflection and then carefully scratching the dried paint, I serendipitously achieved a good effect. However, the feathered wings posed a challenge. I overemphasized the shine, resulting in a loss of their soft, airy essence. A more subdued, blurred treatment would have better conveyed the gentle, fluffy characteristics of real feathers.
