EDGE OF TOMORROW × Emily Blunt

I attempted to create an illustration featuring two figures—something I had never done before. Captivated by the ingenious time-loop narrative and exhilarating action sequences of Edge of Tomorrow, I envisioned combining two contrasting depictions of Emily Blunt—one as an elegant lady and the other as a fully-armored warrior—in one illustration, symbolizing the immerse burden faced by a woman amidst an alien invasion. The exosuit armor with its functional and futuristic design posed a challenge for me to accurately capture. I opted to obscure much of the suit with darker tones, concealing potential mistakes while maintaining the intensity and gravitas of the piece.
