Rather, it simply employs radiating lines to direct the viewer’s focus toward the point of interest. The metallic sheen of the jagged blades is rendered to contrast effectively with the delicate silk quality of her dress. However, the choice of dragon type and size is ill-conceived. The near-equal scale of the dragon and the portrait results in a lack of volume contrast, diminishing the visual impact and failing to evoke either the looming menace of supernatural forces or the commanding essence of feminine power central to the narrative.
