WESTWORLD × Evan Rachel Wood

I sought to make an illustration employing a circular composition, but regrettably, I misunderstood the concept, rendering the circle too explicit rather than subtly implied, as is more appropriate for the technique. Despite this misstep, the circle in my work serves to replicate the futuristic machinery depicted in the opening sequence of the TV series Westworld, showing the intricate process of crafting hyper-realistic androids. The blurred boundary between humanity and artificial intelligence finds expression in the portrait of Evan Rachel Wood, trying to capture the series’ profound exploration of self-awareness and synthetic identity. Meanwhile, the abstract representation of the rugged, antiquated Old West is interwoven into the background.
