MAD MAX: FURY ROAD × Charlize Theron

At the introductory stage of learning composition, the rule of thirds is often the most accessible framework to grasp. In my illustration, I positioned the iconic scene from Mad Max: Fury Road in the upper third of the background while placing a silhouette of the breathtaking modified vehicles—emblems of the brutal, scavenged aesthetic of the post-apocalyptic world—within the lower third of the foreground. However, the elements used to depict Charlize Theron, particularly her hairstyle and costume, lacked relevance to the theme. Initially, I contemplated blending characteristics from her other role in Aeon Flux, but this attempt proved to be a misguided fusion. The illustration ultimately failed due to its lack of a definitive focal point. I plan to revisit this theme in light of the recently reloaded prequel.
