SUICIDE SQUAD × Margot Robbie
Portraying Margot Robbie had been my most demanding challenge yet, requiring four attempts that still fell short of satisfaction. Capturing her signature wild smile as Harley Quinn from Suicide Squad was abandoned, as rendering teeth in a realistic portrait remains notoriously unacceptable. I then sought to soften the contours of her mandibles by selecting a slightly chin-up angle and incorporating a flowing, medium-short hairstyle. I also drew inspiration from her Barbie look, dressing her in a floral-decorated pink one-piece to create a thematic connection. The background depicted a night view of New York City with intricate lights and architecture serving a vibrant yet moody stage. In the distance, a giant building loomed, showing a reproduction of Joker’s comic artwork to add a layered narrative to the composition.
