WEDNESDAY × Jenna Ortega

Wednesday has been, thus far, the only TV series that my family could enjoy together. Inspired by the show, I created a frame composition using the eccentric and antiquated doorway of Nevermore Academy to enclose a portrait of Jenna Ortega playing the cello in the foreground. Departing from her on-screen attire, I envisioned her in an elegant black gown to suit the formal occasion of an orchestra performance. The hastily rendered dense forest in the background effectively conveyed a sense of enigma and mystique of the storyline. However, the space between the doorframe and the central figure felt overly cramped. I concluded that the frame composition works better for emphasizing smaller, distant elements withing the frame rather than larger, more prominent subjects positioned in the front.
