RUNAWAY PRINCESS #2 Fleeting Wheels

In an era where illustrations have transcended their traditional decorative role, they are increasingly expected to evoke a narrative, inspire reflection, or awaken nostalgia. With this in mind, I envisioned a series titled Runaway Princess, building upon my first work earlier this year. The concept centers around a dramatic transformation of space and time, while the focal figure—the princess—remains constant, albeit with the freedom to change her outfits as the story unfold. In the second scene, the princess, having fled her castle, rides a bicycle across the expansive prairie. Her occasional backward glance, paired with an expression of relief, hints at the turmoil she has left behind, subtly implied by fire-hued clouds enveloping the distant palace. The unbalanced horizon line reflects her nervous yet exhilarated state of mind, capturing the thrill of venturing into an unknown future brimming with possibility.
